Burrito Bowl by Guzman Y Gomez

What have we been eating in 2023? Turns out, it’s an eclectic mix ranging from burritos to build-your-own salad bowls.

This was revealed in food-delivery company Deliveroo’s annual “Deliveroo 100 Report”, a list of the top trending dishes ordered on the platform across its ten markets around the world.

In Singapore, Build Your Own Bowl by The Daily Cut ranked number one, followed by  Guzman Y Gomez’s Burrito Bowl at second place, and An Acai Affair’s Triple A Acai Bowl at third. Coming in fourth place is Vios BYO Bowl by VIOS, while Create Your Own (Salad) by SaladStop! is at number five.

The results show a trend towards mix-and-match bowls with colourful, fresh, healthy ingredients, and the need for personalisation.

“This year’s Deliveroo 100 is an interesting edition as it solidifies consumers’ penchant for personalised orders,” says general manager Jason Parke of Deliveroo Singapore. “We are now seeing the list dominated by such customisable orders, highlighting how consumers desire greater control over their meal choices.”

But we still love our burgers, sandwiches and croissants, with Subway, Pizza Hut, Tiong Bahru Bakery, Shake Shack and MOS Burger rounding up the top ten list. Curiously there are no Asian dishes (although they dominate further down the list from 11 to 30).

Here’s the list of Singapore’s top ten trending dishes on Deliveroo for 2023.

  1. Build Your Own Bowl, The Daily Cut
  2. Burrito Bowl, Guzman Y Gomez
  3. Triple A Acai Bowl, An Acai Affair
  4. Vios BYO Bowl, VIOS
