From one of Singapore’s leading restaurant groups comes the newest addition to their stellar line-up of culinary concepts: élan – French for an enthusiastic vigour, liveliness, and distinct flair – serves up Modern French cuisine influenced by Asian flavours amongst elegant interiors and a relaxed atmosphere, with portions that’ll remind you of a homely family dinner.
Helmed by Restaurant Director Philippe Pau, who boasts over 25 years of culinary experience in Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, and Chef de Cuisine Peter Teo, who had begun his culinary career at Les Amis Group itself, perfecting his technique and finesse in French cuisine over the last decade, the menu at élan recreates old favourites and presents new dishes that combine the best of French techniques with premium Asian ingredients.
Expect innovative starters that juxtapose sweet and savoury flavours, tantalising surf n’ turf mains, and creative desserts that are bound to satisfy any sweet tooth.
Take the Foie Gras Bonbon, for instance, that sees creamy foie gras coated in decadent dark chocolate, served with hazelnuts, and balanced with tangy kumquat on a toasted brioche, or the Smoked Pigeon, which is first oven-roasted then hay-smoked to crispy perfection.
élan’s steak menu features generous servings of charcoal-grilled Yamaguchi A4 Wagyu Striploin, as well as the Australian M9+ 600g Wagyu Steak – all perfectly portioned for sharing.
It’s also not a feast without desserts to end on a high. Go for their Lemon, where you’re invited to crack open a white chocolate shell, unveiling a palate-cleansing lemon compote with refreshing lemon and kaffir lime cream, served with basil gel.
