Self-taught baker Wang Li Lin, better known by her Instagram handle @tartsbylin, has just completed a successful residency at Baker X, a cafe platform that gives budding home-baking entrepreneurs the opportunity to trial with a physical outlet and scale their business. Lin had wowed patrons with an array of confections, including her signature tarts which are made with premium ingredients. The Crunchy Chocolate Tart is a popular signature which marries a layer of hazelnut crunch with creamy chocolate, dressed in a sweet chocolate glaze.

Flash Bakes is another Baker X alumni. The mother-daughter duo started Flash Bakes back in Apr 2021 specialising in thin crust tarts in a wide selection of local flavours. Meticulously handcrafted from start to finish, the duo is passionate about their baked goods and hope that every bite of their treats will leave a lasting impression. Try their Original Egg Tarts as well as flavours such as Strawberry, Coffee and Orh Nee. The Lemon Meringue is another favourite, where buttery thin crust pastry is filled with tangy lemon curd.
