We all love a good hotpot, and the new Majestic Hot Pot experience at Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant, Parkroyal on Beach Road, is definitely one that is worth trying.
It is part of the restaurant’s new menu that showcases the “rich and vibrant flavours of Sichuan cuisine in a new light” by combining classic Sichuan flavours with modern culinary techniques and unique ingredients.
There are three specialty homemade broths on the menu. First is the Signature Sichuan-style Mala Butter Hotpot. This is a simmering pot of broth using quality ingredients and traditional Sichuan spices for a well-balanced mix of spice and buttery goodness.
Created by masterchef Dave Lai who has 25 years of experience specialising in Chinese cuisine, this is accompanied by a myriad of fresh seafood, premium meats, a variety of vegetables and other ingredients that are locally sourced and delivered daily.
If you prefer milder and less spicy options, try the Double-boiled King Garoupa Bones with Preserved Capsicum (boiled for over four hours), and Double-boiled Imperial Fish Maw Collagen. Both have been specially created to satisfy diverse taste preferences.
To complement the cooked meats and vegetables, the restaurant also offers Spicy Sichuan Specialty Sauce for an extra burst of flavour.
If that’s not enough, there is the Summer Seafood Feast featuring premium seafood dishes. From stir-fried baby lobster to the spicy whole fish in mala sauce and bamboo clams stir-fried with fresh peppercorns, the dishes are part of its summer-themed set menus. Prices start from $78.
The Majestic Hot Pot experience is available till Dec 31, 2023. It is priced at $98++ per person (minimum two persons, one-day advance reservation), and available daily for lunch and dinner that includes a seafood platter, meat platter, a basket of fresh greens and mushrooms, homemade dipping sauce and dessert.
