Oyster lovers, this is your chance to try a wide variety of oysters from around the globe under one roof. Head to the 11th World Oyster Festival, organised by Greenwood Fish Market (GFM) from Jul 1 to 31.
This event is a one-stop oyster crawl experience at both Greenwood Fish Market’s Bukit Timah and Quayside Isle outlets. Try 32 oyster varieties from nine countries: Canada, France, Portugal, the Netherlands, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, USA, and Japan, right here on our shores.
Festivalgoers may choose either the popular Oyster Tasting Platter, which offers 16 pieces of the chef’s handpicked selection for $109.95++ or create their very own tasting journey by ordering a la carte oysters for a minimum of two pieces per varietal.
There are 10 new oysters making their debut in this year’s lineup, including Aquanostra, a creamy, milky and sweet oyster with a hint of saltiness from Portugal; Dutch XO, a firm oyster with a salty flavour; the soft and creamy Amuse de Zélande from the Netherlands; and Irish Rock which has a sweet, meaty and tender profile.
