Who doesn't love cocktails? Ok maybe some macho men still insist of having a beer. "Too sweet", some say. Another cocktail joint has opened up this month. It's called Nektar and we had the pleasure of sampling some of its signatures.
Bar chef Ravin had the honor of mixing up our libations for the night. Armed with a short stint behind the kitchen, Ravin mixed, muddled, flambéed and stirred some pretty decent cocktails.

2010 also saw nightlife going through the roof. Literally.  
These past few months, we have seen some additional of at least five new rooftop bars that have breezed onto the nightlife scene boasting great views and cool drinks.

Like it or not, there’s a reason why the powers that be put the ‘club’ in ‘dance club’. Over the years, the element of exclusivity in the nightlife scene here seems to have diminished an awful lot and in an effort to pack in the dance-floors, clubs here have loosened door rules and dress codes.

Good news for fans of Glaswegian indie act Belle & Sebastian. Radio station NPR Music will host a live video stream of Belle and Sebastian's holiday spectacular at Glasgow's Barrowland on Dec 21 starting at 4 p.m (that's Dec 22 at about 4am Singapore time). EST. According to NPR's site, the band "will dig deep into their archives to share popular classics, fan favorites and a few festive surprises".

Velvet Underground's JNR just did a new mix and it kinda departs from his usual disco-soul sound. He starts off on a funky tip before exploring deeper and darker territory but still keeping it soulful. We like.
