We believe that mums should be pampered every day of the year, but Mother’s Day is an opportunity to do something a little more special. Mother’s Day falls on May 13 this year, so you have just over a week to make your plans. That’s no reason to worry, however; there’s one place that has everything you need to plan the perfect day. Here’s what you can do at Scotts Square.

Add more color to her wardrobe

Malone Souliers kitten heels

Stocking more than a hundred labels across footwear, handbags and accessories, Pedder on Scotts (Level 2) is the perfect place to treat Mum to a shopping spree. Check out the vibrant tote bags from Leo Studio Design’s Spring Summer 2018 collection, the stylish and Italian-crafted kitten heels of Malone Souliers and the comfortable but well-designed sandals from Suecomma Bonnie. Mum will be spoiled for choice!

Go for a beauty treatment together

Skin Inc Pure Trinity Serum-Infused Cleansing H2Oil

If your idea of a relaxing afternoon is enjoying a spa experience in the comfort of home, stop by Skin Inc (#03-14/15) to pick up a bottle of their their Pure Trinity Serum-Infused Cleansing H2Oil. The triple-layer serum removes make-up while cleansing and soothing the skin. And if Mum has been fretting about wrinkles, you’ll be happy to know that each purchase of the serum comes with a free Lines Be-Gone Rose Gold Mask, which will go some way to rejuvenating her skin.

Bond over a feast

PizzaExpress' “hamburger” al formaggio pizza

If there’s one food that makes people smile across generations, it has to be pizza, and PizzaExpress (#B1-08/09) can lay claim to whipping up some of the best pizzas in Singapore. Treat Mum to the ultimate in comfort food with new menu items like the agnello e rosmarino (with lamb sausage and rosemary yogurt) or the “hamburger” al formaggio (featuring beef ragu, meatballs and béchamel sauce); or opt for one of the new pastas or sides available.

Experts in classic Teochew cuisine—where natural flavors shine with fresh ingredients and minimal seasoning—Paradise Teochew Restaurant (#03-04 to 07) has curated a sumptuous spread of dishes for Mother’s Day. Look forward to sliced Mexican abalone stuffed with cuttlefish paste, kurobuta pork with kabocha and sauteed shredded premium fish maw with assorted vegetables. The familiar flavours are sure to make Mum smile.

Savor afternoon tea

Lady M and Niessing Mother's Day set

Does Mum have a sweet tooth? Then a stop at mille crepe cake specialist Lady M (#01-06/07) is a must; Lady M and Niessing have come together to offer an exclusive cake and gift set in celebration of Mother’s Day! Each set consists of two heart-shaped mille crepes in signature and chocolate flavors along with any two beverages (not applicable to wine and champagne) and a pair of Niessing keychains. The keychains are complimentary and can be customized via a traditional punchmaking technique at Niessing's flagship boutique (#01-01); the perfect bonding activity for you and Mum after indulging in sweet desserts! The set is available on May 5, 6, 12 and 13 (at 10am-12pm, 12-2pm, 2-4pm, 4-6pm and 6-8pm). Do note that the set must be pre-ordered via Lady M's website.

Regarded as one of Singapore’s best restaurants, Wild Honey (#03-K1/01/02) has a delightful afternoon tea on offer for Mother’s Day. For just $16 per person, you’ll get three warm scones served with clotted cream, honeycomb butter and strawberry and raspberry conserves along with your choice of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Add on $48 per person for a free flow of prosecco if you want a real treat!

If Mum is more of a Francophile, head over to recently opened French-style confectionery Bonheur Patisserie (#B1-K1/13) for their take on tea. Priced at $98 for two people, their exclusive tea set stars tartlets, financiers, mini macarons, scones, croissants, panna cotta and an egg mayo baguette along with a pot of tea.
