Not your average takeaway and delivery options

Dining-out is a joy. But with the pandemic far from over, and with strict social distancing measures in place, it really isn't the ideal time to head out for a leisurely meal just yet.

So if staying home is still your preferred option, know that you can still have a great time feasting on some of the best offerings in town. Whether you'd rather pick up your takeaways yourself or have 'em delivered to you, these six restaurants now available via foodpanda will sort you out nicely.

Guzman Y Gomez

Look no further than Guzman Y Gomez for your Mexican street food fix. They have been a fan favourite ever since arriving in Singapore, and for good reason. Their Tacos and Burritos (available in mini versions too), come packed with generous fillings and sauces for a guaranteed satisfying chomp with each bite. And if you ever need an instant pick-me-up, dive straight for their Nachos (also comes in a fries version), that's oozing with melted jack cheese, salsa sauce, guacamole and sour cream. Complete your meal with a carbonated Jarritos drink and you're golden.

Ippudo Ramen

The crazy popular ramen chain dishes out bowlfuls of hot, comforting noodles in broths so addictive you will be slurping up every last drop. The Shiromaru Motoaji Ramen is what every classic bowl of ramen should be—springy noodles with a good bite soaked in creamy tonkotsu broth then topped with pork belly chashu, black fungus and spring onions. Or give the Singapore exclusive Chicken Shoyu Ramen a try, featuring homemade noodles in a clear and flavour-packed chicken broth with a yuzu surprise.

Jumbo Seafood

This household name requires no introduction. Bringing that revered Jumbo experience to your home is a specially crafted delivery menu that includes both signature favourites as well as takeaway-only items. Expect live crabs cooked to your liking (chilli is the way to go, of course) and zhi char standards including Cereal Prawns, Abalone and Mocha Pork Ribs to be the star items. But since you're dining at home, give the fuss-free Bento Boxes and Retail Packs a try too. Their Jumbo Chilli Crab Paste will turn any simple home-cooked meal into a truly lavish one.

Merci Marcel

The French cuisine diner and artisanal grocer is the all-in-one place to look to for your gourmet needs. Tuck into delectable mains like the Duck Parmentier, a plate of tender shredded duck confit, darphin potatoes and duck jus; or try the popular Ravioles De Royans, a decadent French dumpling pasta filled with luscious tete de moine cheese. It's hard to resist getting some of their fresh bakes (the croissant won't disappoint) and cheeses while you're filling up your order too. And don't get us started with their alcohol menu. We're always tempted to just add on a nice bottle of red or a pack of herbaceous gin & tonic into our cart.

Pollen

Yes, even fine dining restaurant Pollen at Gardens by the Bay is available at your fingertips. But before you get too excited, know that they are currently only offering their exquisite tarts and Beef Wellingtons for takeaway and delivery. So while there's no eight-course degustation to be had at home, it's still a mighty treat, we say. Each Beef Wellington, featuring Australian beef tenderloin and mushroom duxelle wrapped in delicious puff pastry, comes in a set good for two, and is inclusive of a sizable, tangy Lemon Meringue Tart. For dessert lovers, trust us and get the Salted Caramel Pine Nut Tart too. Once you've had a bite, you won't want to be sharing that with anyone.

PS.Cafe

Always packed with folks who enjoy a casual but luxe meal, it's a blessing that PS.Cafe's offerings can now also be easily enjoyed from the comfort of home. Have always-popular eats like their Truffle Shoestring Fries, Double Chocolate Blackout Cake, and a good range of burgers and pastas (we're especially into the Spicy King Prawn Aglio Olio) delivered to you and skip the physical queues. It's nice that they are also offering craft beers from Stone & Wood as well as well-priced bottles of wines, so you can conveniently complement your meal with your preferred choice of adult beverage.
