11 local artists and photographers come together to share past and present works over one weekend

There’s no better year for local artists and literary work. With #BuySingLit fronting the support local movement, at least on the literary front, it seems more bookstores in Singapore are surfacing and staging their own events. This time, BooksActually is having a pop-up at Hotel Clover on Apr 1-2. They are gathering 11 local artists for a two-day literary talk, where you’ll also get to purchase their books. (Best time to get their autograph.)

You will get to meet artists like Speak Cryptic, the visual artist behind SIFA’s Club Malam in 2016 and the collection of illustrations, The National Archives; and Geraldine Kang, photographer for As Quietly As Rhythms Go, a photo book documenting the rehabilitation process of a landfill site off Tampines Road. Other artists you’ll get to meet are Eve Yeo, the illustrator behind The Ideology, oil painter Alvin Mark Tan, photographer Samantha Ann Francis and more. Drop your name card for a chance to receive a BooksActually Box (a package of books curated by the staff).

Admission is free. Find out more here.
