Fri, May 8

PARTY
DJ trio (and brothers) Jean Paul Makhlouf, Alex Makhlouf and Samuel Frisch make up Cash Cash and they’ll be spinning their infectious dance pop tracks at Zouk.

ART
Izziyana Suhaimi shows her new works incorporating drawings, embroidery, abstract needlework and tapestries in The Hands That Remember. Or, head to Timely Maneouvres, a 13-artist exhibition reflecting on the sense of temporality, memory, mortality and space by artists like Tatsuo Miyajima, Mariko Mori and Tobias Putrih.

MUSIC
Musician and singer Tamara plays covers of Bob Marley, Sarah McLachlan and Jewel at this intimate concert where she’ll be infusing a little bit of reggae, pop, jazz, blues and even Middle Eastern beats to her music.

OUTING
Part narrative, part art show and part day festival, Tell Your Children: Paradise Shores, has tons of mural illustrations, a tiki bar and a carnival by Gluttons Bay.

OPENING
In case you didn’t know, the snazzy and very modern-looking Indian Heritage Centre is finall open today in Little India, with free entry for the rest of the month, guided tours and a full-on list of events, from workshops to outdoor movie screenings.

PARTY
One of the world’s biggest DJs, Hardwell, spins at this mega clubbing event held at Gardens by the Bay. 

FESTIVAL
The rooftop of People’s Park Complex turns into a two-day party with local music acts, tons of finger food and craft beers at Getai Ethnica.

The 14th edition of Story Slam is all about the topic “The Best or Worst I Ever Had” stories based on real life experiences.

FESTIVAL
Sunday at the Training Shed is back and this edition features a mix of funk, soul, disco, house and reggae by DJs Hookstyle, KFC, JNR and Little Bastard. Plus, there are barbecue bites, cold beers and a tiki bar.
