EXHIBITION
More than 30 local and international artists and designers will be showcasing objects made from dismantled existing toys at Kult’s new show, Choking Hazard: An Exhibition about Toys, which explores controversial issues in the world of toy-making, like mass production, consumerism and gender. Through Mar 18

Dunlop Street’s cute little Mexican joint Chimichanga is throwing a little mixer for anyone who works or lives in Little India. Come and mingle with people from this charming neighborhood from 6:30pm onwards. Feb 20

Ever thought about being a yoga instructor? Head over to New Angle Yoga studio on Petain Road as yoga instructor Dr. Trish Corley leads a free Baptiste Power Vinyasa yoga class and introduces a 200-hour yoga training program that’s taking place later this year. Feb 20

ART
This fifth edition of the Singapore Biennale, titled “Atlas of Mirrors” is showcasing 58 pieces and installations from 60 artists (10 of which are Singaporean) and three art collectives. Now you can rent a bike for free to cycle across the seven different venues. Through Feb 26

Joe Satriani is returning to Singapore for the second time since 2014, this time as part of his Asian “Surfing to Shockwave” 2017 tour. Besides his new releases from Shockwave Supernova, he’s also added a couple of gems from his 30-year career to his repertoire for the night, which includes songs like “Big Bad Moon”, “Not of this Earth” and more. CONCERT
Your mom’s favorite country singer and five-time Grammy winner James Taylor is in town with his all-star band to perform some of his greatest hits like “Fire and Rain”, his rendition of Carole King’s “You’ve Got a Friend”, “Carolina In My Mind” and more at The Star Theatre. Feb 21

EXHIBITION

SCUFF: The Eyes of My Mother

After two successful editions, the Singapore Cult and Underground Film Festival (SCUFF) is back once again to showcase a slew of eclectic, not-for-the-mainstream type of films on screen. This year’s line-up is looking pretty exciting, with an untamed mix of films across a spectrum of genres, like American horror film The Eyes of My Mother and famous Blaxploitation flick Coffy. PARTY
Australian DJ Juliet Fox, who’s made her rounds on the European club circuit and is currently based in Berlin, helms the deck at Headquarters by the Council with her unique combination of deep ,dark techno and tech house. Feb 24

HEALTH
Start the day with a quiet one-hour session of classic yoga at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, led by Saakalya Yoga instructor Alexandra Schmutterer. Tickets are $35 for one session and $300 for 10. Feb 24

It’s the final weekend to check out the works for this year’s Singapore Biennale, and they’re going out with a bang by throwing a closing party, turning Singapore Art Museum’s courtyard into a melting pot of art and music.
