London-based hipster band The Vaccines plays tonight. Nov 4

MUSICAL
Catch Ghost: The Musical and remember how dreamy Patrick Swayze was in the movie. RIP! Nov 4-8

THEATER
Fans of the Anthony Burgess masterpiece (and/or the Kubrick adaptation) should definitely catch the all-male production of A Clockwork Orange which opens today. Nov 4-8

FILM
The 15th German Film Festival is an eight-film showcase to the director Rainer Werner Fassbender, among newer releases. Nov 5-15

THEATER
Written by granddaddy of Singaporean theater Kuo Pao Kun, Spirits Play is a Japan-Hong Kong co-production involving five spirits who recall their suffering during WWII. Nov 5-15

ART 
Benny Ong’s Art Day Out has the local designer from The Ong label showcasing pop art inspired prints that explore the boundaries between art and design. Nov 6-8

FLEA MARKET
The indie Maad Pyjamas flea market has lots of local artists and craftsmen hawking their wares. The Organization of Illustrators Council will draw portraits. Nov 6.

SEMINAR
Trek out to NTU for TedxSingapore. Look out for the most viewed speaker on YouTube, stats master Hans Rosling, and the founder of Lonely Planet, Tony Wheeler. Nov 6-7

CONCERT
Taylor Swift 
is in town for a concert as gratuitous as her music videos, doing songs like “Bad Blood” and “Shake It Off.” It’s sold out, of course, but maybe you can wander around outside looking bereft and hope for the best? Nov 7

PARTIES
The cheekily named Great Singapore Jerk Off at Gillman Barracks has eats like Jamaican-style BBQ chicken, along with ska and reggae beats. Nov 7

1-Altitude is holding a series of Alice in Wonderland-themed parties with DJs Rattle and Tang with hip-hop and R&B music. Nov 7

There is a Dia de Muertos (Mexican Day of The Dead) party on Emily Hill, with Mexican food (obvs) and a Frida Kahlo installation. Nov 7

FILM
The Singapore Myanmar Film Festival at The Projector showcases small productions from two countries. Look out for Side Glance of the Dragon, about a man making a living off a garbage dump. Nov 8

FLEA MARKET
The Red Cross is having a Sunday Flea Market where volunteers sell secondhand goods, and proceeds go to various charities. Nov 8

LITERARY
The Singapore Writers Festival is in full swing with lots of panels, outdoor concerts and of course, the concluding debate, This House Believes that Singaporeans are not Dreamers. Until Nov 8

EAT
$100 Gourmet
 returns. Two Michelin-starred chef Rolf Fliegauf and Nicky Ng will be at Mitzo, while Chef Fliegauf makes another appearance at The Waterfall with Marco de Vincentis. Nov 6-9; Nov 11-14

ART
The Affordable Art Fair will showcase 86 local and international galleries and 600 artists. All works are priced between $100-$10,000, and Bistro 1855 is doing wine, cheese and quiche.  Nov 12-15

THEATER
Get nostalgic as Michael Chiang and Dick Lee’s Beauty World is on stage again, with it’s coming-of-age story about a girl who enters a cabaret to find her long-lost father. Nov 13-Dec 12

DRINK
The Open Italian Wine Fair showcases some 40 international labels from 17 wineries. There will be a DJ on hand for when you’ve had a glass too many. Nov 14

EXHIBITIONS
The nerdy but cool Large Hadron Collider exhibit opens today, with an interactive display of what goes on at the mysterious CERN in Switzerland, responsible for the discovery of the so-called God Particle. Nov 14

MUSIC
Fans of Santana, take note; the band Almalatina is playing a gig called The Santana Experience, paying tribute to the master guitarist. Expect hits like “Black Magic Woman” and “Maria.” Nov 14

FILM
The Freedom FIlm Festival will showcase hard-hitting films, including Untracing the Conspiracy, which interviews the 22 people who were arrested by Singapore’s ISA in 1987, along with a bunch of shorts from Malaysia. Nov 14-15

MUSIC
Local band Dru Chen Trio is playing at The Black Swan and will cover hits from Jeff Buckley and D’Angelo and Maxwell. The band will also play some of their original songs. Nov 18

EAT
The chi chi Diner en Blanc returns (with or without the haze?) at yet another secret location. Remember to wear white and combat stares from curious onlookers at this fancy evening picnic. Nov 21

MUSIC
The Skechers Sundown Festival is all about regional talent with indie acts like Potato from Thailand, local band Caracal and Epik High from Korea. Nov 21

OUTING
The Singapore Night Safari is hosting its actual interactive treasure hunt, Mystica, with puzzles, obstacles and lots of magical creatures. Nov 21-Dec 20

ART 
The hotly anticipated National Gallery officially opens today and houses work from the city’s pioneer artists like Georgette Chen and Cheong Soo Pieng, along with a permanent collection of regional pieces. Don’t forget to have a glass of Champagne at restaurant Aura and check out Julien Royer’s new French place Odette, which is supposed to open Nov 2. Nov 24

CONCERTS
80s rock band Def Leppard is in Singapore to relive the glory days with hits like “Pour Some Sugar on Me” and “Love Bites.” Nov 24

Clean Bandit is on tour to promote their new album, New Eyes, although most are hoping for a live rendition of last year’s “Rather Be.” Nov 25

FILM
