From getting your portrait drawn to trying your hand at 3D printing or just standing around and aborbing art, there’s something for everyone.
Glitch Singapore launch x Mr Ewok One (Mar 27)
There’s a new art gallery opening up in town and for its launch, New York artist Mr Ewok One will be painting a mural at the gallery itself. That aside, there’ll also be a bunch of prints and original artworks from the likes of Mighty Jaxx and action figures from God Complex on sale. For a more hands on experience, there’s also a 3D printing session that you can sign up for.
Portraits After Dark
Portraits After Dark at Maad Pyjamas (Apr 10)
Have your portrait drawn by the artists from the Organisation of Illustrators Council (OIC). It’s part of the monthly MAAD Pyjamas arts market and will see some 20 illustrators do their thing as you hold your pose for 20 minutes. After which, all of their works will be on display and you’ll get to pick those you like. Your booking fee of $25 lets you take home two for free and additional portraits will cost you $10 a piece. Dead Celebrities
Dead Celebrities (Apr 2-30)
Kult Gallery has rounded up some 20 artists who hail from Philippines, France, Indonesia, the UK and Singapore for this exhibition. They were invited to created something based on iconic celebrities who are now dead (as suggested by the name of this exhibition) and it will be presented in both painting and sculptural forms. Expect to see familiar faces like musician Kurt Cobain and artists such as Basquiat. Their opening party is on Apr 2 and there’ll be Mexican bites from Taco Club.
G’Schau by Karin Aue (Apr 17-May 17)
This Austrian-born, Singapore based illustrator is the one who’s behind that kopi-bag tote bag will be showcasing her works over at Artistry. Feast your eyes on her fun illustrations while bobbing along to the tunes of DJ Gonzo at the opening party that kicks off at 7pm on Apr 17.

Oddlings by Allison M. Low (Apr 30-May 10)
This local fine art graduate who has exhibited both locally and in Sydney, will be having her debut solo exhibition featuring some 20 drawings. Her striking pieces of work often revolve around heavier themes like emotional trauma and loneliness, apparent in the disconcerted faces and bodies.
