Wicked Wallop Carnival (Jan 9)

Famous for revving up the local Harley Davidson scene and for leading regional charity convoys to neighboring countries, biker group Warpigs Singapore is throwing a street party to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The first Annual Wicked Wallop biker and lifestyle carnival will feature pop-up tattoo parlors, pinstriping booths, leathercraft stalls and bike building workshops. There’s also going to be a bike contest so expect plenty of motorheads here. Handlebar will be helming kitchen and duties for the night so bring on dude foods like their 400g tenderloin steak, beer butt chicken, barbecued pork ribs and burgers. Applehops Beer Bash (Jan 16)

Craft beer distributor Applehops is celebrating its second birthday with—what else—a big beer bash. Held at Gillman Barracks’ indie cafe/bar Red Baron from 4pm-2am, the Applehops Beer Bash 2016 will have bottled and on tap beers from Adnams Southwold, Beavertown, Buxton Brewery, Brew by Numbers, B.Nektar, Siren Craft Brew and Oskar Blues. $30 for entry with a commemorative glass and two free taster beers. 

Books & Beer (Jan 16)

The fifth installment of the Books & Beer book swap kicks off its first pop-up for 2016 with a craft beer and cocktail fuelled get-together at cozy cafe and bar place Bellja. Held on Jan 16 from 4-7 pm, expect lots of beers on tap, strong coffee, food and a range of books to exchange.The lineup is still being confirmed but we’re expecting an evening of book readings, literary exchanges and tasty pub grubs as you discuss local and international classics by authors Alfian Sa’at, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Hemingway and V.S. Naipaul—classy stuff. Free

Art After Dark (Jan 22)

One of the major highlights of the Singapore Art Week is Art After Dark at Gillman Barracks. Happening from 7-11pm, the event features works from local and international galleries like Arndt, Mizuma Gallery, Fost Gallery and the NTU Centre for Contemporary Art. Noise Singapore’s music alumni will be dishing out perfomances throughout the night with food and drink pop-ups lining the barracks. Once you’re done, head on down to the afterparty just around the corner at Red Baron for craft beers. Free

SAM x W Singapore: The Courtyard (Jan 22)

Held at the musuem’s open courtyard area, the event will begin from 8pm till late with cocktail maestros Woobar providing drinks and pub grub throughout the night. Expect a chilled out evening of boundary-pushing artwork (it is part of Singapore Art Week after all), trippy projections and decadent cocktails as you party at this 160-year old courtyard.There’ll also be a stellar lineup of local DJs helming the consoles for the night featuring electronic and house music acts from DJ Shigeki, EJ Missy, Haan, MR.Has and Kiat. Bandwagon Riverboat (Jan 22)

This party is on a three-level Mississippi riverboat, where different local bands will be showcasing their latest work. On the first level, it’s Dru Chen Trio and Linying, while the second and third floors are taken up by [.gif], Cheating Sons, blankverse and William J. Tex-Mex place Santa Fe will be doing food, with roast beef ($15), grilled chicken wings ($10), french fries ($5) and mini pizzas ($5). Beers are $10. The party is only open to the first 250 people who sign up, and starts from 6pm-3am from the Marina South Pier. Find out more here
