Star Wars nerds get to unite this month as there are so many things to do before The Force Awakens is released on Dec 17. With photo ops at Changi Airport, a Jedi Academy, and more, clearly the force is strong on the island.
Catch The Force Awakens at The Projector and go for the after-party
Join a lightsaber academy
While you may not have enough midichlorians to become one, you can join a few lightsaber academies that will teach you the way of the force. The Force Academy trains you using Asian Martial Arts, and they meet every Sunday at The Deck @ Ang Mo Kio from 7:15pm-8:15pm. You can start off with an hour long combat saber session for $25 (sabers provided), or join the academy for real at $60-80 per month. (The cheaper price means you’ll have to get your own saber.) Check them out below:

You may have missed going on board the R2-D2 plane, but you can still view an X-wing fighter at Terminal 3 and a TIE fighter at Terminal 2. Both jets are located at the departure hall. There are also costumes to dress up like a rebel pilot and sit in the X-wing fighter for a photo op. Imperial stormtroopers and X-Wing pilots will make an appearance on Saturdays at 4pm. Language nerds can also learn how to say trademark phrases from the franchise in 10 languages from a C-3PO droid. Next to it are models of the Millennium Falcon and the Star Destroyer. There is Star Wars merchandise on sale, too. This includes eight limited-edition toys, which can only be purchased at $6 after a minimum spend of $70 at the airport (or $150 in the transit area). Expect Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and R2-D2, to name a few.
Ride the Star Wars-themed MRT trains
From the middle of this month, the North-South and East-West lines will sport these Star Wars-themed trains, with interiors decked in graphics of the series’ characters C-3PO and Kylo Ren (who supposedly is the new movie’s villian). Also, if you spend $30 at Kallang Wave Mall, iMOB Shop or any SMRT shops, you get a chance to fly to Dubai for the Middle East Film & Comic Con 2016.
Gawk at the Lego mural at Vivocity
If you haven’t already gone, there is this really huge mural at Vivocity, where a Star Wars event was held earlier this month. It is said to be the largest mural in the country, at 6.2 meters wide and 2.4 meters tall. You can also spy a Lego Millenium Falcon that is way bigger than the one in the “Ultimate Collector’s Series,” and try your hand at the new Star Wars Battlefront before you buy it on PS4.
