The rumors of the possibility of Coldplay coming to Singapore floated on the Internet when a local music website found a ticketing page for Coldplay on the Sportshub site was taken down just as quickly as they found it. But hey, fans can finally put their anxiety to rest. It’s official guys, the British rock outfit whom we all love for hits like “Yellow”, “The Scientist” and the more recent “Up&Up”, will be here on Apr 1 next year.
This morning, Singapore was announced as the first stop of the Asian leg of the A Head Full of Dreams Tour, which has seen more than 2.5 million people since March this year. It’s the fourth time they’ll be serenading Singapore. The last three times (2001, 2006 and 2009) saw them taking the stage at the Indoor Stadium so it’s about time they got bumped up to play at the National Stadium.

It’s not an easy feat to fill out an entire stadium, but Coldplay has managed to do so with each tour as they grow bigger and bigger. Chris Martin did mention that their latest album might possibly be their last, in an interview on Zane Lowe’s BBC1 show.
Tickets are priced from $78 to $268, and will be available on the Sportshub website to public from Nov 21, 10am.
