Situated in the contemporary hotel PARKROYAL on Pickering, Art Apart Fair will cover an entire floor of guestrooms to exhibit a whopping 1,500 artworks by emerging and mid-career artists from across the world, including Russia, Germany, Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines.
Instead of the usual whitewashed gallery space, expect to see interesting works in a fun and cozy setting, as curators work with the layout of the hotel rooms for their showcase (don’t forget to check out the bathroom). Don’t miss works exhibited by Khankhalaev Gallery from Russia, Fusion Fine Arts from Australia and Next Door Gallery from Korea, as well as the exhibition “The Destruction of the Readymade Everyday”. Also, be sure to stop by “The Artist’s Garden”, which will feature artworks from each of the participating galleries in the 2,000 sq. ft. Presidential Suite. Besides the scheduled art talks, the artists themselves will be present throughout the fair to give visitors a more immersive experience.
Selected pieces will be auctioned, so if you like what you see, look out for the lowest bidding price on the tag and indicate your interest by submitting a form. Winners of the bids will be informed at the end of the fair. You can also try your luck in the lucky draw to win a painting worth over US$1,000.
