Australian indie rock outfit The Temper Trap is returning to Singapore for a headlining show

The Temper Trap is probably one of Australia’s best indie music exports. This Melbourne-based band has come along way since their seminal track “Sweet Disposition” was released nine years ago. Dougy Mandagi, Toby Dundas, Jonathon Aherne and Joseph Greer are no strangers to Singapore, having performed here a couple of times since their debut here at the 2011 edition of Laneway. Now, they’re returning to Singapore with a third studio album in tow for a headlining show as part of the Southeast Asian leg of their tour.

Mandagi and Joseph were in town to promote Thick As Thieves, but they were only here for a press tour (that’s why there wasn’t a concert). The whole gang be here on Mar 10, so no complaints there. They’ve had a good run so far, with more than a million albums sold, more than 150 million streams on Spotify, performing at festivals like Glastonbury, Lollapalooza and Coachella and winning numerous awards. However, their guitarist Lorenzo Sillitto left in 2013 to pursue newer things. After a brief break, they started work on this third album with their current lineup of members. Expect a roaring performance of the title track “Thick As Thieves”, “Fall Together” and a whole bunch of other songs from their first two albums.

Tickets are priced at $118 via Sistic, and will be out on Jan 16 onwards.
