There are a bunch of local bands performing free concerts at different parks around town this weekend. Here’s where to go to check them out.

100+50 Bands Festival

The bigger, better second edition of 100 Bands Festival concludes this weekend at the beautiful Bedok Reservoir with well over 30 bands performing over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Bands include the likes of L.A.B and In Each Hand a Cutlass (tonight), Cashew Chemists, Rudra and .gif (on Saturday) and This is Atlantis and ANECHOIS (on Sunday.

West Coast Rocks

Happening at Clementi Stadium, this concert features talents like husband-and-wife singers Tay Kewei and Alfred Sim. In (late) celebration of National Day, the lineup also features a cappella group MICapella and Highlander bar’s resident band Stereofly, who will be performing hits from the 1970s to today. Plus, the whole things ends with a bang—expect a fireworks display here. Aug 15, 5pm.

TinHill Rock Fest

Bukit Timah’s new alfresco restaurant will be home to indie rockers in two weekends. Expect bands like Caracal, Havana Social Club and indie darling Inch Chua to perform there. The event isn’t held at the restaurant, but it’s only a short walk away to the Merlion SportsCity venue on Dunearn Road. Come prepared as the concert series will go on all-night long. Aug 29, 3pm.

Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC Musical Concert

The largest event of the three is, unfortunately, ticketed, but luckily, tickets are priced at $5. Held at Bishan Sports Stadium, there are acts like Taiwanese singer Alan Kuo and Hong Kong Cantopop singer Frances Yip (who will apparently be singing a duet of Teresa Teng’s “The Moon Represents My Heart” with Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen.
