Wine lovers rejoice! Prepare for a full weekend of discovering less understood and uncommon wines all in the comforts of Michelin-starred and prestigious restaurants. Singapore’s first online wine store Ewineasia.com is celebrating the third edition of their Wine Discovery Weekend from Oct 15-17.
There’s a total of four wine and dine events you can take part in over a span of three days. Have a taste of over 100 wines from more than 40 different wineries at the Wine Discovery Walkabout Tasting event over at APS Lifestyle Gallery, just off of Martin Road, where you can try over 100 different wines from 40 different winneries around the world. Anyone interested in learning more about wines can also attend the complimentary masterclasses, hosted by the likes of Federica Pecorari, a winemaker from Lis Neris Winery who’ll be speaking about pinot grigio of Friuli and its rare back vintages; Raffles Hotel’s wine director Stephanie Rigourd who will cover the topics on the rise of organid and biodynamic wines; and more.
On the food front, you’ll get to dine at two-Michelin-starred restaurant Shisen Hanten, where you’ll get to try some of chef Kentaro’s fine, sizzling Szechwan cuisine over a six-course meal, paired with seven different wines; go for some signature dim sum at Cherry Garden, paired with fine wines from famed wine regions of Spain; and more.
The walkabout tasting costs $45 per ticket, but if you’re up for the other food and wine pairing events, check out their website to book a slot.
