Japan Food Town’s currently running Sakura Fair is about to come to an end this weekend, but don’t fret, they’re keeping things fresh with a new pop-up store from Apr 18-May 31. The food enclave on Wisma Atria’s fourth floor will soon be a temporary home for Salon de Royal, a chocolatier cafe from Kyoto that was founded in 1935.
It’s the first time they’re reaching beyond their borders. You’ll find nothing but the best from this age-old chocolate house which takes pride on its long history and tradition of creating Japanese chocolate. One of the main highlights of the pop-up is their limited edition ice cream that’s specially made for Singapore—a pecan nut flavored ice cream with a dash of Kinako (soybean powder), presented in a Monaka wafer (fun fact: the pecan nut is one of the signature ingredients that Salon de Royal uses for their chocolates). Other sweets you’ll be able to enjoy are their chocolate bon bons packed in Japanese lacquer craft boxes and the pecan nut chocolate, along with other flavors like matcha, caramel, coco, sesame, strawberry and more ($12-$200).
