Come December 10, 2010, pop culture fans can get up close to the people behind popular characters such as X-Men, Iron Man and Hulk, most of which has gone on to the silver screen. Comic book giant, Marvel Comics will be exhibiting at the Singapore Toy, Games and Comic Convention (STGCC). This will be the first time the comic book and entertainment company will be exhibiting in Asia.
Expect to catch a slew of Marvel talent at the convention including Eisner award winning Spanish comic book artist Salvador Larroca best known for his work on Fantastic Four and X-Men as well as other Marvel writers and illustrators such as Leinil Yu, Giuseppe Camuncoli, Esad Ribic, Harvey Tolibao and Alex Maleev.
Aspiring comic book artists will also get a chance to hear some tips on how to get a shot at working for the comic book giants as international talent scout, C.B. Cebulski will hold a panel on Marvel’s talent hunt where he will explain the procedure for aspiring talent to submit a portfolio and the possibility of having it reviewed during the show. Cebulski’s panel is scheduled to take place on Dec 10.
