DFS Changi Airport is shaking up free cocktails for travelers

You may have seen, or even have shopped at the shiny Wines and Spirits Duplex by DFS at Changi Airport’s Terminal 3. Now, travelers transiting through its departure hall can order cocktails from Long Bar by Raffles for free at the store.

Happening from May 20-Jun 30 (5:30-7:30 p.m), the DFS Cocktail Festival features pop-ups by five of Singapore’s most popular bars: 28 HongKong Street (May 20-21), Jigger & Pony (May 27-28), Manhattan (Jun 10-11), The Library (Jun 17-18) and Smoke & Mirrors (Jun 24-25). Each bar will create one signature cocktails inspired by Singapore and the first by 28 HongKong Street takes its cue from our hawker food.
 
Chop Chop Lah, with vodka, ginger syrup, lemon juice, East Imperial soda and fresh cucumber and parsley, is a spicy concoction imbuing the flavors of chicken rice. For a more soothing drink, the Shiok Date has whisky, lemon juice, date syrup, Luxardo Maraschino, egg white and goji berries; herbal ingredients inspired by cheng tng. The Kiasu Kaya features, of course, coconut pandan syrup, rum, Benedictine D.O.M, with a zesty splash of fresh orange and pineapple juice. 
 
The second-storey space will also host fringe events such as mini master classes by master distillers, brand ambassadors and bartenders on Friday and Saturday evenings. More information here
