There are many Michelin-starred restaurants with waitlists that can go up to a month or longer. But with the inaugural launch of Robert Parker Wine Advocate’s (RPWA) GastroMonth, it’s possible to skip the list (and the queues) and enjoy a whole month of wining and dining, workshops, recognizing heroes in our F&B scene and exclusive experiences that will only happen from Oct 30-Nov 26.
You’ll be just as flabbergasted as we were when we saw the line-up of events taking place in such a short period of time. One of the biggest highlights of the month has to be the pocket-friendly prices at these lauded restaurants throughout the month. There’s more than 40 participating restaurants, so take your time to look through the deluge of events and restaurants on the website under the Dine tab.
Gather your friends and go on a full kitchen tour at the three-Michelin-starred Joel Robuchon Restaurant (Nov 21-26) after you’re done with your three-course dinner menu at $248 (U.P. $646), or eat the night away at the one-Michelin-starred The Kitchen at Bacchanalia (Nov 20-26), which has curated a special three-course dinner at $70 ($150) with a surprise gift, complimentary canapes and pre-dessert. Otherwise, there’s always the exquisite omakase lunch menu that’s been whipped up specially for GastroMonth at $240 (U.P. $320) at Shoukouwa (Nov 13-19) or a complimentary masterclass (Nov 13-19) hosted by Stellar @ 1-Altitude‘s executive chef, Christopher James Millar.
There’s also an upcoming gala dinner happening within the month (details are still being firmed up), and of course the fourth annual Matter of Taste Singapore on Oct 21, where you’ll get to try more than 200 wines rated 90 Robert Parker points and above through walkabout tastings, masterclasses and wine-pairing dinners.
