Dakota Crescent is almost gone, and its elderly residents are giving tours

We’ll be saying goodbye to many buildings and estates at the end of 2016, including but not limited to Rochor Centre and good old Dakota Crescent. But before that happens, the oldest residents at the latter estate are organizing a series of guided tours for nostalgic heritage types.

Part of Singapore Design Week’s flagship event, Singaplural, the first official walking tour open to the public has the Ah Mas and Ah Gongs of Dakota Crescent taking you through these flats before they move out in 2016. It’s on Mar 12 from 9-12pm, so get your tickets before it’s too late. It’s $35.

No word on when the next tour is, but we’re assured that there will be serveral before the end of the year.
