Rock-supremo Elvis Costello is coming to Singapore on March 7 to give a one-night only performance in the breathtaking new 2,155-seat Grand Theater in Marina Bay Sands.
The music chameleon has followed his curiosity in a musical career spanning more than three decades. His versatility encompasses virtually every musical genre, from British punk and new wave to classical, jazz and American roots. Perhaps best known for his performances with The Attractions, The Imposters and pianist Steve Nieve, Costello has entered into acclaimed collaborations with many other artists, from Burt Bacharach to the Brodsky Quartet. Costello will be releasing Pomp & Pout, The Universal Years in January 2011. It will be the first ever collection of Elvis Costello’s material from the years of 1998-2008 and will feature b-sides, rarities and work from soundtracks alongside other album highlights.
