After 18 successful sessions, the people behind Brunch Bandits are back, this time launching their Global South series, the first of many to come, at Singapore’s first Mexican dive bar Chimichanga on Feb 26.
For this series, they’ll be exploring the cuisines of places that aren’t necessarily open to visitors. Think of it as “food without borders”; bringing cultures and flavors of these places through food. In the spirit of communal dining, which is what Brunch Bandits is all about, Chimichanga will be serving up delights like cerviche aguachile, chicharron tacos, and a whole lot of avocado-focused dishes, on top of a special five-course menu that combines typical Mexican flavors with the use of freshest local ingredients. They’re still working on the menu, but rest assured that there’ll be free flow frozen margarita to enjoy throughout the afternoon.
Tickets are available on Peatix and are priced as follows: $55 (free flow margarita), $75 (brunch) and $120 (includes both drinks and food). More info here.
