Heineken was established in 1873 by Gerard Heineken, and the brand’s iconic red star represents an ancient brewers symbol. The Amsterdam brewery is known for its 28-day brewing process, which creates a rich and golden-yellow brew using natural ingredients such as malted barley, water, hops and Heineken’s special A-yeast. One of the world’s most popular lager, the brand is now available in 192 countries.
