Singapore’s annual street festival brings graffiti and dance outdoors

The annual Singapore Street Festival (SSF) is back from Jun 8-Jul 3, celebrating its 15th anniversary at Bugis Street and Far East Plaza with a bunch of activities and performances by local artists.

The STREET ART series presents a diverse group of graffiti artists, traditional muralists and contemporary illustrators such as Scryptk and Cassandra Koh at the Street Graffiti happening throughout the festival. Japanese Pop culture fans can look forward to the D’J Party on Jun 25-26, a weekend of performances and a dance concert by local J-Pop groups and J-Rock bands. There will also be a Busk! SG audition at 313@Somerset over the same weekend.

The STREET ACT series sees local talents fight it out on four different battlegrounds: the Asia Pacific Yo-Yo Championships & Singapore Yo-Yo Championships 2016 from Jul 1-3, the Singapore National Kendama Championship (SNKC) from Jun 18-19, the Battle of the Year Championship 2016 during the BIG BANG Supa Weekend on Jun 25-26 and the Asia Global Bellydance Competition 2016 on Jun 25. If you’re inspired by the performances, you can also sign up for Asia Global Bellydance Masterclasses on Jun 26 featuring World Class Bellydance Divas Sujee, Anastasia Biserova and Foxycat Alice.

For the STREET SPORT section, football enthusiasts can look forward to a Freestyle & Panna Street Football session from Jun 18-19.
