The food situation at Laneway is especially exciting this year

Apart from being one of the best music festivals to hit Singapore, with all the hottest indie acts on their lineups year in and year out, Laneway Festival is also where you can have a great picnic, sans packing food from home (you’re not allowed to, anyway).

Taking place on Jan 21, have your pick from 18 different food and drinks stalls, ranging from Italian coffee by Caffe Vergnano to bite-sized, shareable treats like Spanish tapas from Pim Pam FOC, Korean fried chicken from kko kko nara, and of course, kebabs from Shiraz. If you’re planning to do a full lunch and dinner thing within the festival, there’s also a selection of fusion Cantonese cuisine from Full of Luck Club, roast suckling pig from Filipino outlet Iskina Cebu and even Japanese ramen from Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King. There are also hip, healthier options thanks to Project Acai and Ninja Bowl, as well as vegetarian food courtesy of Banyan Tamarind, halal burgers from the good people of Working Title and halal Mexican street food from Afterwit, for anyone who has special food requirements.

There’s way more than those we’ve just mentioned, so if you’re not upfront watching the bands, explore the festival grounds and find your way around to more food-y treasures. Tickets are priced from $185. More updates on their Facebook page.
