Here’s a different kind of pop-up: The Growell Pop Up takes over former bar/events space Broadcast HQ for a series of workshops, talks, exhibitions and dinners, complete with a cafe and retail space. And just before you dismiss it as another artisanal market, listen up.
There will be a curated exhibition by photographer Ore Huiying (who you’ll remember from her We Are Farmers exhibition), as well as discussions about farm-to-table topics led by Burnt Ends’ David Pynt and Edible Gardens’ Bjorn Low. Workshops include everything you need to know about urban farming and foraging in Singapore, as well as growing microgreens.
Plus, dinners will be cooked up by the likes of Burnt Ends, Morsels and Cajun Kings, while the retail store peddles local small-batch producers like Mofo Chili and urban foraged honey.
The pop-up officially starts Feb 21.
