Gear up for 40 free workshops to teach you how to be more green in Singapore

Everywhere you look, there are more initiatives and programs to encourage everyone to be environmentally friendly in Singapore. While we harbor a healthy dose of skepticism about all this cheerful campaigning, we do think ordinary citizens need to play a part. Which is why we’re telling you to mark Sep 9-11 when a major eco-lifestyle event returns to Marina Bay Sands Convention Center, which can help you to become the eco-conscious Singaporean.

It’s the second time that eco-lifestyle event Green Living is happening in Singapore, with more activities, workshops and eco-friendly products covering smart mobility, health & wellness, urban farming and more. For starters, you can check out two showrooms for sustainable home and smart technology ideas and filled with IKEA furnishings, Bosch electronics and Lutron lighting fixtures. There’s all be more than 40 different workshops and seminars throughout the three-day event that’ll cover topics like terrarium making, chemical-free skincare and more.

Other highlights include a market with over 100 products and services, including Ayelli’s pure organic Moroccan Argan oil, food products at the Green Café, table lamps made from upcycled glass bottles and more. There’s even an immersive reality-to-virtual show about protecting national parks and animals in their own habitats. And if you bring your used alkaline batteries, GP Battery will exchange them with a pack of rechargeable batteries.

The best part? Admission is free. Just remember to your own bag if you’re planning to splurge at the event. For more information, check out their website
