Have dinner at a migrant worker dormitory this Labor Day

The long Labor Day weekend is almost here, and if you haven’t made any holiday plans, you might want to pop by a free art, photography and exhibition held at Mandai WestLite Dormitory.

Happening on Apr 30 and May 1 at Mandai Westlite Dormitories, SamaSama: Redefining Migrant Workers is a project showcasing the aspirations and achievements of migrant workers here and it features an art installation by local artist Calvin Tay. Exhibitions like “The Room of Heroes” also bring visitors through the narratives of individuals who have improved the world around them. The program includes a guided tour around the Mandai Dormitories and visitors dropping by on May 1 may want to join a dinner with Singapore’s migrant workers.

RSVPs are required, with limited slots are available due to security clearance at the venue. More information can be found here, and for queries, email [email protected]
