They say that there’s no such thing as a free lunch, but not in Singapore. Local restaurant booking app Quandoo is turning two, and is inviting everyone over for its birthday bash. They’re serving free lunch over the course of three days and throwing a party at Ce La Vi (and that’s completely free too).
They’re opening up a pop-up restaurant at one of Singapore’s coolest districts, Keong Saik Road. Each day, from Nov 30-Dec 2, a chef from some of Singapore’s most popular establishments will be on hand to serve selected dishes from their menu between 11:30am-2:30pm. To make things more exciting, they’ll also be preparing what they believe will be the food trends for next year.
So, what can you expect? Apiary will be serving their acacia honey with roasted cashew flavored ice-creams on Nov 30, while Mr. Public Punch House will be concocting a surprise tipple to gulp down with your food. Enjoy Potato Head Folk‘s signature burgers and the boozy petit pot au chocolate on Nov 30 and Pizza Express‘ pomodore pesto, calabrese and apple & camembert dessert pizza, along with pasta, lasagna and farfalle fungi on Dec 1. And finally on Dec 2, Ninja Cut will be on deck with their grilled cheese sandwich and braised beef cheeks ninja bowl.
Then, complete the experience with a party at Ce La Vi on Dec 3. Entry’s complimentary, but only if you register quickly. But if you still wanna be part of the shebang, early bird ticket are going for $25 a pop. The party starts at 3pm and will see resident DJs Yafith and Brendon P, and French DJ Romain Pelletti on the turntables, accopanied by saxophonist Antonio Garcia.
Reservations for the free lunches and the party have already begun. Make your bookings through the Quandoo app or their website.
