Brit com fans, you can now pretend to dine at Fawlty Towers

We’re seeing more and more dinner theater in Singapore lately, but this one mixes two of our favorite things: nostalgia and British comedy.

Based on the popular ’70s BBC sitcom Fawlty Towers, this is unlike your regular theater outing. This two-hour immersive Faulty Towers The Dining Experience lets you wine and dine and be a part of the on-going show at the same time, with Fawlty Towers hoteliers Basil, Sybil and Manuel. Plus, with only a portion of it being scripted, there’s plenty of room for improv and knee-smacking laughter to take place. (Don’t get too, too excited, though, as original actor John Cleese will not be making an appearance.)

This dinner theater show first started life in Brisbane in 1997 and is now a mainstay in London’s West End. They will be making their Singapore debut at Raffles Hotel as part of their worldwide tour that will see them traveling through some 20 countries. Catch them from Apr 9-12. Dinner tickets start from $219 (and lunch from $169) and includes a three-course meal. More details here.
