The Iron Throne lands in Singapore next weekend

Warning: This story may contain spoilers if you’ve not seen Season 6 of Game of Thrones

We’re just days away before the highly anticipated season 7 of HBO’s highly successful fantasy TV series Game of Thrones. You’ve probably already gone on a marathon and re-watched all six seasons in preparation. You may have even heard all the theories and even came up with your own. To tide you over this year’s extended wait for the season premiere on Jul 17 (airing at the same time as the U.S. at 9am), HBO Asia is bringing the Iron Throne to Singapore next weekend (Jul 15-16).

Last season, we left off with the trinity of leaders taking charge of their own realms, with Jon Snow as the King of the North, Cersei Lannister as the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms and Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen still questioning if she is a ruler or a conqueror. We also saw the demise—some more satisfying than others—of some major characters and learned some of their origin stories. This season, will Sansa Stark finally step up her game? Will there be factions to take on Cersei and her army? Can we finally see more of the Ice King? Are any of Danerys’ dragons going to die? Is Jon Snow actually Azor Ahai? Ugh, so many questions.

In the meantime, why not head down to Orchard Cineleisure next weekend (Jul 15-16) and check out a life-sized ice sculpture of the Iron Throne, as well as the infamous Iron Throne itself. You’ll get to sit on it and pretend you’re the new ruler of the Seven Kingdoms instead of whoever you predicted it’d be (and take photos, of course). You might also want to try your luck at retrieving some limited edition Game of Thrones paraphernalia that have been frozen in blocks of ice. It might not be as fancy as last year’s Game of Thrones Experience: World of Westeros (#GOTAsiaWOW), and we might not get a visit from a cast member this year (Bran Stark actor Isaac Hempstead Wright dropped by lON Orchard last year), but this still seems pretty, cool (sorry, pun intended).

To have a better taste of what’s to come, here’s what went down last month at Chevron House:
