It’s The Ship sets sail this November with a line-up that will make waves

All aboard the luxurious Genting Dream cruise liner, home to Asia's largest electronic dance music festival, It's The Ship. Back once again for its fourth edition, shipmates will set sail from Singapore on Nov 17 to Phuket, before returning to our shores on Nov 20.

Headlining the four-day floating festival are Dutch trap biggies Yellow Claw, who recently made their first appearance in Singapore earlier this year to a packed out Zouk. They were big in their own local scene before 2013, creating viral music videos for singles like "Krokobil" and "Last Night Ever", and making appearances at Dutch music festivals. They quickly rose through the ranks after signing to Diplo's label, Mad Decent, and later with Spinnin' Records. They may have gone from a trio to a duo, but that didn't stop them from working with other exciting artists like Tinie Tempah and Flux Pavillion, incorporating their own elements of trap, hip-hop, dubstep, hardstyle and moombathon into their tracks.

Sharing the spotlight with them is a sister duo we’re all familiar with: Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf, or more intimately known as Krewella. It’ll be the third time they’ll be performing in Singapore (waters). They’ve managed to create their own style of electronic music, which takes bits and pieces from rock, progressive house and trap. It’s essentially unapologetic dance pop that’s easy to listen to and will get the crowd going. They’ve headlined numerous massive festivals, including Ultra, Electric Daisy Carnival and Australia's now-defunct Stereosonic.

The Phase One announcement also included favorites from down under including Peking Duk and Tigerlily, Dutch hardstyle producer Brennan Heart, South Korean hip-hop artist responsible for the breakout single "It G Ma", Keith Ape, Thai-American hip-hop outfit Thaitanium and more. Making up the Singapore’s contingent of the festival are local veterans of our nightlife scene Rave Republic and Oliver Osborne, as well as rapper and founding member of Grizzle Grind Crew, Shigga Shay.

There's plenty to fill your night to forgo sleep on this cruise. More artists will be announced later, along with this year's Ship Captain (a celebrity hype man or woman). Their official website hasn't been updated, but keep a close eye on their Facebook page here.
