Learn the fascinating art of burlesque during the M1 Singapore Fringe Festival

The 13th edition of the M1 Singapore Fringe Festival returns in two weeks, but not without being the center of censorship issues a few weeks back, which led to the removal of two performances from the lineup. But fret not, the show will go on. Now, one of the programs on the lineup is holding a very limited, once in a lifetime experience, where you’ll learn the art of burlesque.

The well-known American burlesque performer Madge of Honor, who also happens to be the mentor of Singapore’s first socially progressive and diverse burlesque troupe (Skin in SIN) for their show Foreign Bodies, will be conducting a two-hour long burlesque basics class on Jan 8 at the newly reopened Kilo Lounge at Tanjong Pagar. The class is available at $60 per person, which will go a long way to support this newly formed troupe. What you’ll need: a button-up shirt, a pair of gloves, a skirt with a zipper and clothes you’d be comfortable in. Spaces are limited so grab your tickets before it’s gone.
