While you were busy drooling over the Laneway news, another exciting music festival appeared on the horizon, this time with an all-regional focus. The seventh edition of the Skecher’s Sundown Festival features some well-known acts from all around the region. The festival opens on Nov 21 at Marina Promenade’s F1 Pit Area. This includes singer-songwriter Cheryl Loon, Cashew Chemists and Caracal’s post-hardcore music.
From around Asia, expect sets from Potato, billed as Thailand’s most popular rock band, and INKT from Japan, who just released their debut this year. Don’t miss J-Rocks either, an Indonesian band influenced by the tunes of of Japan’s rock music scene.
For those who are interested in something more obscure, check out Ground Zero, a Taiwanese indie band. The last act is Epik High from Korea, who won the “Album of the Year” and “Artist of the Year” in their homeland, South Korea.
