If you missed the U Symposium last year, it’s here again from Mar 12-13 at Lasalle’s Singapore Airlines Theatre. This means you’ll get to meet Omar Sosa, founder of interior design magazine Apartamento (Mar 13, 3pm) and Rosa Park, editor and founder of style and travel mag Cereal (Mar 12, 12pm), among other indie editors who will be giving talks during these two days.
That’s not all. Although the event is from Mar 12-13, there are also workshops on Mar 14, including one titled, “So You Want To Launch An Independent Magazine?” (10am-1pm) by Jeremy Leslie, creative director and editor of MagCulture. There’s also The Happy Reading Club (6-8pm), where Seb Emina (chief editor of The Happy Reader) and Annabelle Fernandez of Magpie will host a discussion on Virginia Woolf’s novel, Mrs Dalloway.
