Michelin Guide Singapore is hosting their inaugural street food festival next month

Eight months have gone by since restaurants were given Michelin stars and Bib Gourmand awards for the first time in Singapore. And while some of the results were jaw-droppingly shocking, it hasn’t deterred us foodies from flocking to each restaurant to try their various offerings. But if you, like many, haven’t had the time or couldn’t be bothered to get in line just to wait an hour for a meal, then you’ll be happy to know that there’s going to be a major street food festival where you can try the diverse flavors from these award-winning restaurants, without having to travel from one end of Singapore to the other.

The Michelin Guide Street Food Festival will take place over two evenings on Apr 14-15 at The Coliseum at Hard Rock Hotel, featuring a stellar line-up of eateries such as Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle, Bib Gourmand awardee Wedang (known for traditional Malay classics like Gado-Gado), Michelin-star award restaurants like Song of India, Shoukouwa and Joel Robuchon Restaurant. They’ll be showcasing their some of the signature dishes a la hawker style from a super affordable $2.50 onwards. How it works: you pay the “entrance fee” of $20, which will be converted to credits to spend and entitles you to one of the many seats at The Coliseum. You will be assigned to one of the two seating times and be allowed to roam around until the time is up. This is to cater to an expected overwhelming response. A live local band (remains a secret) will be on music duty for the night and there’ll be a lucky draw for all four sessions.

Tickets are available here. The last time we checked, one of the sessions is already sold out, so get on it.
