Just when we thought the City Hall precinct couldn’t get any hotter with the Voilah! French Festival and car-free weekends, the National Gallery Singapore is hosting a couple of workshops, a store-wide sale at Gallery & Co. and a block party in April.
The maker movement is still holding on, and the museum is offering several workshops ranging from a crash course in perfumery (Apr 16, 11am) to a pottery session by Mud Rock studio (Apr 17, 2pm) at Gallery & Co. Each workshop costs $100 per person (materials are provided) and registration is required. The museum’s gift shop is also holding a storewide sale this weekend, with homeware, apparel and stationery going at 40 percent off from Apr 1-3.
And celebrating the museum’s collaboration with Centre Pompidou for the exhibit Reframing Modernism is a block party held at Gallery & Co. on Apr 29 at 9pm. The event will feature French DJ Julian Brochard with Kronenbourg pints and wines going at $10 nett.
