Park Bench Deli is collaborating with Candlenut and Native for a sweet Peranakan affair

Not all collaborations were created equal. In an unprecedented announcement, sandwich extraordinaire Park Bench Deli (PBD) is hosting a special guest sandwich pop-up, and collaborating with F&B bigwigs Candlenut and Native Bar to do so.

On Nov 23, PBD will welcome Chef Malcolm Lee of Candlenut, the world’s first Michelin-starred Peranakan restaurant, into the kitchen to whip up Peranakan cuisine served PBD style. Buah keluak burgers? Cincalok ciabatta? The actual menu hasn’t been announced; but the possibilities are endless.

Also present at the event is bartender Vijay Mudaliar from Native, which currently ranks no. 20 on Asia’s Best Bars (and yes, it’s the bar famous for its ant cocktails). Look forward to locally flavored cocktails to pair with your Peranakan sandwiches—but go early, because the pop-up starts at 6pm and will end once everything is sold out. Somehow, we imagine that won’t take long.

The Candlenut x Park Bench Deli pop-up takes place Nov 23 at Park Bench Deli, 179 Telok Ayer Street. More info here
