These old school German rockers are still loving you. Scorpions are returning to Singapore after 15 years for their 50th anniversary tour, belting out famous anthems like “Wind of Change”, “Rock You Like A Hurricane” and “No One Like You”. Oct 21

Freehouse is going all local for its monthly One Night Stand event, shining the spotlight on local craft beers this month, with labels from seven different breweries including Archipelago, Little Island Brewing Co., Hospoda Microbrewery, Innocence brewing and Crossroad Brewing Company. Oct 21

The SJ50 Film Festival, celebrating half a century of Singapore-Japan ties, is screening quite a number of short films from both Japan and Singapore, ranging from dramas, documentaries to animations and experimental ones over the two days. THEATRE
Singapore production of Tony-award-winning musical Rent by Pangedmonium made headlines last month. Inspired by Puccini’s La Boheme, Rent moves the action to New York City’s Lower East Side, where a group of struggling artists strive and dream in the middle of the AIDS epidemic. Throughout Oct 23
DRINK
Wine lovers, get ready to swish, swirl, sniff and sip, all in a pretty outdoor tent overlooking the water. This year’s Wine Fiesta will shine a spotlight on organic and sustainable wine producers from Adelaide Hills in Australia—along with nearly 70 other winemakers. Throughout Oct 23
EXHIBITION
The third installment of ION’S Art Photography Series will feature two local photographers, Aik Beng Chia and Mark Teo, and their pieces depicting Singapore’s streetscapes in their own distinct styles. Through Oct 23
FESTIVAL
Erdinger’s Oktoberfest is back for another cycle of limited edition brews and tasty bites. A highlight this year is the unique Erdinger Barcycle, which is basically a mobile bar counter that will roam around Suntec City this month and two other locations next month. Through Oct 28
THEATRE
One of Broadway and West End’s most celebrated musicals has returned to our shores. The colorful fantasy world of Wicked tells the story of Wizard of Oz witches, Elphaba and Galinda, and their opposing outlooks. Through Oct 30

Urban Kampung
FOOD
If you’ve haven’t had satay for a while, then you might want to set aside some time for Urban Kampung 2016. FILM
For the horror fanatics, you can live out your dreams and produce your very own horror film by participating in this 48-hour film challenge. Get those brain juices flowing, and channel your inner Wes Craven or Alfred Hitchcock as you have only 48 hours to write, direct and edit your short horror film. Oct 23
ART
Project X-pired by The Food Bank Singapore is back with its third edition and this year’s theme is wearable fashion. Participants are required to use food wrappers and packaging to create pieces of wearable clothes. Shortlisted entries will be featured in an environmentally-friendly fashion show, and will be auctioned off to the public. A portion of the profits will be donated to The Food Bank Singapore. FESTIVAL
Ritmo do Brasilis all about samba, with samba dance performances from SambahLah!, SambaBomBom! and international capoeiristas, music by Bantus Batucada Band, football freestylers from the Urban Street Team wowing people with their tricks, and of course typical Brazilian drinks like the cairpirinha to go along with some sizzling Brazilian BBQ.
