Usher in the eve of Deepavali at Little India Arcade. You can light up lamps and soak in the festivities and also do last minute shopping at their bazaar, replete with traditional snacks, decor items and henna booths. Oct 28

Erdinger’s Oktoberfest is back for another cycle of limited edition brews and tasty bites. A highlight this year is the unique Erdinger Barcycle, which is basically a mobile bar counter that will roam around Suntec City and this would be your last chance to be on it. Oct 28

Peruvian chef Virgilio Martinez runs Central, aka the fourth-best restaurant on the planet, according the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, and the Michelin-starred Lima. And you’ll get to try his food here in Singapore, at the Shangri-La’s Blu. For a sweet $448, you get a seven-course meal, including dishes like scallops with sea lettuce and coral and river fish with quinoa, each accompanied by a drink like the Capitan and fine South American wines. The SJ50 Film Festival celebrates 50 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Japan, and there are quite a number of short films from both Japan and Singapore to check out, ranging from dramas, documentaries to animations and experimental ones. Lime at ParkRoyal on Pickering is also jumping on the bandwagon with their Halloween-themed dinner feast. Eat your fears away through their eerie delicacies in the shape of creepy crawlies, goblins and ghosts. Residents of Tampines (and revellers), there is a silent disco party happening at the rooftop of Tampines 1. Three DJs will spin different genres of music simultaneously, giving you the option to switch as and when you like with their noise-cancelling headphones. Oct 28-29

A female-centric festival that promotes female filmmakers, Scream Queen Filmfest Tokyo is making its debut in Singapore at everyone’s favorite indie theater, The Projector. Through Oct 30
FILM
The student-run Perspectives Film Festival, which returns for its ninth edition will be exploring the theme of Surrealism. They’ve put together a program of seven films which will be shown at the National Museum of Singapore and The Projector. Throughout Oct 30

Artistry is having their own queer art festival, ArTITstry and it will be showcasing a group of talented Singaporean women artists who will present their work, such as poet Steph Dogfoot, musical duo Amanda & Zsa and artist SKL0 (Sam Lo). Oct 29

Wobology is having their first album launch party, with their EP, The Study of Vibration which is a mixture of reggae, dub and electronic music. There will also be a yoga session, alongside lip smacking barbecue fare. Oct 29

This Halloween, Fort Canning Park will be transformed into a picnic-carnival-esque cemetery. This 12-hour festival will see a zombie maze, pop-up flea market, pop-up food stalls and a cosplay competition, as well as a line-up of DJs like Brendon P from Ce La Vi and Kenneth Francis from Kyo who’ll be spinning throughout the event.
