The inaugural Singapore Art Fair will be held from November 27-30 this year at the Suntec City Convention Center.
The fair is organized by the people behind the renowned Beirut Art Fair, as well as MP Singapore, and will bring artworks from the ME.NA.SA (Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia) region to our shores. It hopes to enable emerging artists from the ME.NA.SA region to participate in the international scene.
Visitors can expect artworks from around 60-80 international galleries and solo shows from at least 20 individual artists. The works themselves are expected to reveal humanitarian and political concerns affecting people living in the areas. Moreover, there will be pavilions showcasing art from specific countries and regions, like Lebanon, coordinated by art curators such as Catherine David. There will also be interactive and multimedia performances at the fair.
