Singapore’s big annual comedy festival is happening in March

This time in cahoots with Clarke Quay’s Singapore Festival of Fun, the highly-anticipated fourth edition of Magners Singapore International Comedy Festival is back from Mar 16-19. This year, there will be 16 comedians from all over the world lined up for performances in bars around the area, with a special focus on Irish comedians as the festival coincides with St Patrick’s Day.

The highlight of the festival is the triple bill comedy show at Irish pub McGettigan’s featuring three Irish comedians: Aiden Killians, who has sold out shows across Australia, Japan and the US; a circus performer-turned-comedian, Martin Mor; and Matthew Giffen; a regular headliner on Comedy Masala.

It’s not Irish humor, though. Indian night club Maziga is hosting REN FM DJ Kavin Jay; Andrew Netto, who has his own annual comedy show and Sunanda Sachatrakul, who has been producing on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Late Night with Seth Meyers. Other venues where you can catch different comedians are Warehouse, Crazy Elephant, F Club and Paulaner CQ.

Comedians Matthew Giffen and John Robertson will also be performing at Clarke Quay’s Fountain Square, if you can’t catch them in the bars.

Get your tickets here for $20 (early bird), $30 and $98 for full access to all shows. Find out more here.
