Singapore’s first Cafe Week teams up local cafes for all-new brunch menus

From Dec 10-13 and 17-20, Singapore gets the cafe version of Restaurant Week. Cafe Week ropes in popular cafes such as Group Therapy, Toby’s Estate, The Tuckshop and Prive to serve set menus involving new plates inspired by fresh produce, local ingredients and new flavor pairings.

Not to be confused with the slightly derailed Cafe Fest at Marina Bay last year, this is an all-new event where meals take place at the individual cafes themselves, not at a single venue.

While you might want to temper expectations (no Michelin-starred gastronomy), some interesting-sounding items include the prosciutto-wrapped 36-hour sous vide oyster blade by Curious Palette; the Jekyll and Hyde bacon ice cream by OMB, which has crispy bacon strips dipped in dark and white chocolate and served with bacon ice cream; and the salmon cornetto by The Tuckshop, with creme fraiche and granny smith apples with horseradish.

Prices range from $15 for a tea menu set, $25 for a brunch set and $35 for a dinner menu set. Bookings start from Nov 10 onwards, and for more on the full list of cafes and updates, head here.
