Singapore’s first social enterprise festival is happening at Timbre+ in August

In August, over 40 social enterprises will gather at Timbre+ for the inaugural run of FestivalForGood, a social enterprise festival.

You can expect a slew of fun activities over the weekend of Aug 20-21, from a pop-up market featuring socially-conscious merchandise, clothing, accessories, food, and tech gadgets, to a lineup of circus acts, a fashion show, interactive cajon drumming and live musical performances. There will also be a range of workshops such as leather-crafting, urban farming, and yoga.

The first day of the event will be held at industrial food court, Timbre+ and ACE Ideation at JTC’s launchpad in Ayer Rajah Crescent, where special event-only dishes will be sold as part of a collaboration between selected Timbre+ chefs and social enterprise Edible Gardens. On the second day, learning journeys will be conducted at islandwide social enterprises such as Bettr Barista, Dialogue in the Dark, Professor Brawn Cafe and Sew Into It.

Admission is free but be sure to register here to receive a festival tote bag. For a full list of the pop-up market vendors and more information, go to their Facebook event page.
