Singapore’s only conscious festival Green Is The New Black is back

Two successful editions and less than a year later, conscious festival Green Is The New Black (GITNB) returns with yet another empowering event for Singaporeans. What is a “conscious festival” all about, you ask? It’s about inspiring talks from thought leaders and change-makers in fields like ethical fashion, wellness and social justice. However, this year’s edition is more than just that.

The organizers of GITNB have teamed up with Spark, Asia’s pioneer festival celebrating all things love, passion and connection, for a more wholesome experience for visitors to live and love more consciously and aggregates curiosity, discovery and connection. Happening over two days this year on May 12-13, the event will see new elements like a section where you’ll be able to meet more than 20 makers from around the region, all of whom will be displaying their mindful goods at GITNB’s Mindful Marketplace and Spark’s Love & Play Marketplace (the line-up is still in the works and will be announced later). There’ll also be live performances from local musicians and buskers.

While shopping for thoughtful things is great, we’re more interested in the two main stages where the talks will take place. The GITNB stage will see speakers wax lyrical about improving the way you work, think and consume, whereas the Spark stage will cover more sensual topics like the various truths and myths about sex and relationships, long-lasting intimacy and basically what it takes to stay happy not just with yourself, but with others.

Green Is The New Black x Spark will take place at Equarius Hotel, Resorts World Sentosa from May 12-13. It’s free, but you’ll have to pay for tickets to enter the stages for the talks. For more info and updates, check out their Facebook page and website
